I almost had a heart attack at the grocery store...

After reading about all of the amazing benefits of eating organic, I decided to stock up on healthy veggies and other organic products. Then I almost passed out when I saw the total of my bill. My total was TWICE the amount it usually is! I've been trying so hard to spend wisely and I feel like I just watched an extra $100 go down the drain. *Sigh* I miss all of the fresh veggies from my family's garden back home...and those were free!

It looks like this will be the first and only week we eat organic in Florida!

Eating organic does not have to be overly expensive. Walmart, Costco, and Sam's Club have a lot of good choices. You don't have to eat all organic either.

Did you go to Whole Foods? I love WF, but it will suck the $ right out of your wallet. I've learned how to shop smarter there...for instance, their 365 Whole Foods brand is very good. And I find that their frozen veggies are decent as well. Don't let your shopping excursion prevent you from buying organic! :)

Eating healthy sure can be expensive. It definitely does a body good though. I would love to plant some veggies in my tiny garden this summer.
