Cha-cha-cha-changes...

So tomorrow at 10:00 AM, I have a hair appointment. When I was in undergrad, I saw my stylist at least once every four weeks because I was a color junkie. I've been platinum blond, had highlights and low lights of every color under the sun (including fire engine red, blue, purple, and pink), and pretty much everything in between. When I started my master's program, I realized that the luxury of skipping class to get my hair colored was no longer an option. So since the Fall of 2005, I've had my lovely natural hair color. Now that summer semester is almost here, I've decided I'm going to highlight again since my schedule will be a bit less crazy (at least I'm hoping anyway!). But I'm wondering just how dramatic I should go...

My hair color now...
I don't really think I want blond highlights because it would just look too shocking against a black backdrop. I'm not really a fan of the skunk look! So I'm thinking maybe some warm tones, like caramel and dark honey.

Maybe something like this...I don't know...

Any suggestions??????

How exciting!! I'm back at my natural color too and driving my husband and bff crazy holding up old pictures asking which they like best. I know what you mean about summer approaching and it always makes me itch for something new and light!

I LOVE your natural color - I wish mine was that shade and as shiny! But hey - why not get some highlights? It would be fun and fresh !!

Good luck at the appt!!!

I think caramel and dark honey highlights would look really nice. I really need to make a hair appt. too. I am in need of some serious highlights.

You will have to post pics once you decide!

I like carmel tones. I think it would look realy pretty on you!

I am having a hair crisis as well. Regretfully I cut my hair shorter before I moved to Austin, so I am trying to let it grow back out then I want to go dark red because it makes my green eyes pop hopefully by the fall I can achieve this lol

I am obsessed with your dark hair. It's so shiny & healthy! But, I always go lighter in the spring too. Us color junkies have got to mix it up! Can't wait to see the finished product!

I'm a brunette and spent years highlighting my hair. Last year I decided it was time to stop because it was so brassy looking. Since then I've been doing permanent color a shade or so lighter than my normal color and it's been a nice change. The cool thing is that my hair looks healthier than it has in years, all because I stopped the highlights. Just thought I'd share if it helps with your decision making! Can't wait to see your new look. :)

First of all -- your blog is adorable.

Second --- you look AWESOME with the jet black hair. I SO WISH I could pull off that look and envy anyone who can.

Then again you can totally rock the highlights as well.

Ahhh whatever the case post updates! :)
